Nick Bernard is prepared to bring his experience as a litigator and in-house counsel to bear on your company’s employment law, contract management and negotiation, and other outside general counsel needs.

Employment Law—Nick has represented employers and employees as in-house counsel and outside litigation counsel in EEOC proceedings and employment litigation. He is also experienced in creating employment policies and advising companies on wage and hour law and other employment compliance issues.

Contract Management and Negotiation—As a litigator, Nick represented individuals and companies in breach of contract disputes. Through this experience, he gained valuable insight into what happens when contracts go wrong. As in-house counsel to a growing company, he drafted master services agreements, statements of work, customer service agreements, and more; negotiated high-value, multi-year commercial services contracts; and implemented contract management processes and software. He also has experience negotiating service, vendor, and SaaS agreements.

Outside General Counsel Services—As a former in-house counsel, Nick has experience helping businesses find legal solutions to their business problems. This includes mediating claims, managing outside litigation counsel, managing corporate insurance portfolios, ensuring compliance with licensing and other regulations, and drafting legal communications.
